Hope the new Doctor is awesome. Sorry to see matt Smith go, but I was starting to tire of his slightly...
Mina is the world's first Paranormal Petsitter in the new middle-grade book series by Gary Buettner, MONSTER PETS, coming in FALL 2014 from EMBY KIDS. Spooky adventure that's perfect reading for kids 8-12 https://www.facebook.com/monsterpetsbooks?ref=hl
I've never liked the current Doctor because I was so fond of the previous Doctor, and even the one before that. Matt Smith, although a great Doctor Who, is the rebound Doctor Who for me. I knew I'd never like him as The Doctor, although I've really tried to. I also know I will absolutely love the next Doctor, whoever he is. It's just the way I am. Long live Doctor Who!
As far as a new Doctor goes, I'd love to see him get his wish of being a 'ginger'.

Reason: Lame reasons
I would lile to see an older doctor this time around, too. I think with the whole River Song thing of her giving up her regenerations that a female Doctor could certsinly be in the works.
Y'know, she might not fall into the realm of older, but I do think Claudia Black has got the acting chops it would require to pull off a female Who...
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.
He fits the pattern of casting actors who've done some good work but aren't very famous yet. Also, he's a bit wacky (note socks) and likes bow ties. If his head shot crosses Moffat's desk he'll think of a bazillion ginger jokes and his will to resist will be lost.
If we could get who we'd wish for.... I think Rowan Atkinson did a surprisingly awesome job playing the Doctor and I wouldn't mind seeing him back. Barring that, howzabout Brian Blessed? (Ever see the Doctor punch out a Dlaek before?)
"It's sad that governments are chiefed by the double tongues. There is iron in your words of death for all Comanche to see, and so there is iron in your words of life. No signed paper can hold the iron. It must come from men. The words of Ten Bears carries the same iron of life and death. It is good that warriors such as we meet in the struggle of life... or death. It shall be life."
