    Is anyone watching SYFY's Defiance

I gave it four episodes, it has not pulled me in yet. Anyone else out there watching it? THe characters don't feel very original, and the premise is weak. The story is not fleshing out. Still very limited to the city location, very little background information on the cataclismic event that completeley terraformed the earth, multiple species...did they all show up at once? none of the stuff that gives the show potential is addressed. I was hoping for Firefly mixed with Farscape.

Yeah, they're losing me, too. I live in St. Louis and can see tha arch from my office downtown, which has made the show weirdly fun both for figuring out the layout of the town and picking it apart for stuff anyone who lives here would know (and don;t get me started on the toasted ravioli and gooey butter cake line from a couple weeks back). But I agree, nothing much seems to happen and the characters are gererally not involving. I'll give 'em a few more eps, but something better pick up if thay want to keep me watching.

I watched the pilot which I thought didn't suck. My wife and I were going to start taping it but totally forgot.

        Hmmmm....

I know a lot of folks.... not regular patrons of the nerdly arts; mostly mundanes.... who LOVE this show. I thought it was okay, but the kind of thing I've seen A LOT.

Been watching it every week so far. It's not bad... better than a lot of stuff that's on.

It's an OK show, but I'd rather watch a real western series. I like the blonde sheriff from Dexter and Buffy. But I've got 3 episodes getting moldy in my DVR with no compelling desire to catch up.

I've Been watching from the start. Not fantastic by anymeans but engaging enoug to keep me coming back.
                It has a westerny/farscape feel to it.Not surprising since Rockne s O'Bannon is involved(Farscape,V.....etc)
It is based on a game I think or a game is related to it?
I think it has pretty good potential and look forward to new episodes.

I really like the show. There is something about the Sci-Fi westerns that tend to draw me in.
