Looks like Disney wisely decided a painfully unfunny CGI cartoon series ridiculing the original trilogy wouldn't be the best idea when they are trying to rebuild the SW brand for the new movies.

I even liked the Clone Wars series. If only the prequel movies could have been a fraction as good. But the toys aren't selling and the unrelenting focus on the prequels has damaged SW as a brand. I have no doubt Disney XD will get a SW series but it won't be prequel based.You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. I didn't follow Clone Wars every episode, but I saw enough to know if Anakin had been portrayed that way in the prequel films, I think a lot of folks would have cared a lot more about him, and his fall from grace.

I'm not a Star Wars fan by any stretch, but given the choice, I'd rather see the Clone Wars cartoons than the crappy movies.

I never even heard about TCW being 'cancelled,' since Dave said scripts were already written for Season 6. I hope XD does pick it up. If it gets cancelled now, then the full story wouldn't be told...and that would suck for everybody.sigpic

The reason I think Detours happened in the first place was that Lucas genuinely enjoyed the company of Seth Green and Matt Senreich. They probably made him feel young. But without Lucas running the show, Disney wisely mothballed the show. Honestly, I think it would be fine to show the segments on Starwars.com. Beyond that? No way.Comment
