What is your impression of 2001: A Space Odyssey?

I made the mistake of watching this when I was a teenager. Didn't realize how long it was and it ended at something like 2 or 3 in the morning.

It's one of my favorite movies of all time. Definitely in my top 20. I always wanted to watch it on the big screen.
