^She addressed that in an interview in Back Issue, if I recall. Apparently her husband at the time was a real controlling SOB and he told her how to act, who to talk to, etc, in addition to verbal abuse. Not making excuses, but she was apparently going through a really bad time in her life during her greatest success.
