I saw it on HBO in the 70's I believe. Liked it then, like it now. Stella and the Robot (Elle?) are the best. David Hasselhoff is young in this. Cheesy goodness never goes wrong with me.
Actually just watched that and Message from Space back-to-back on Netflix a couple weeks ago. Starlog articles . . .. TV ads . . . HBO airings . . . the memories!
STELLA!!!!!!! I just love and adore Caroline Munro. i need to make some Mego's of her as Stella and from At the earth's core and golden voyage of sinbad and spy who loved me.
"Hang on Lady... We go for a RIDE!" - Shorty to Willie Scott.Best movie line from Indiana Jones & the Temple Of Doom
Munro was just at the Chiller Theatre show before halloween.
I've loved that film since it came out.
Munro, Hasselhoff, Marjoe Gortner, Joe Spinelli and, of course, Christopher Plummer!!!
Now if they'd pick up Yor, Ator, Sword and the Sorcerer, and Hawk The Slayer, my youthful genre bad movie memories will be fulfilled!
Not sure what you meant by this but Yor had a remastered Sony burn on demand dvd release, Ator the fighting Eagle had a recent remastered release from Scorpion releasing, Hawk the Slayer has had a nice region 2 dvd release and Sword and the sorcerer had a dvd release from 2001 via anchorbay
"What motivated him to throw a puppy at the Hells Angels is currently unclear,"

I really like Caroline Munroe. She was in a Hammer Dracula movie, & a James Bond movie, amongst others. I have Starcrash on DVD & have seen it a few times... Good cheese indeed.
I remember seeing this in the theater and being totally excited afterward. Sometime about fifteen years ago I picked up a copy on VHS and immediately watched it and was dumbfounded at how hard it is to watch. I have tried to watch it on a couple of occasions but have never made it more than 30 minutes in before shutting it down.
I refuse to say that it sucks or even that it is a "bad" movie if only not to let down my 10 year old self who really loved it (for whatever reason).
If I had only spent a tenth of the time studying Physics that I spent learning Star Wars and Baseball trivia, I would have won the Nobel Prize.
>I refuse to say that it sucks or even that it is a "bad" movie if only not to let down my 10 year old self who really loved it
A movie can both suck AND be awesome. Case in point: I got to see "Terrorvision" again, for the first time in 20+ years, and it does an admirable job of both.
Thanks for the heads-up. I meant if Netflix straming (wshich is what I have) would pick them up. Althought I might have to look into a "Hawk the Slayer" DVD . . . ;-)
