I love how they end the show. The first couple endings actually had both of us looking at each other with are jaws dropped.

I was actually expecting another CW ****efest from ARROW and happily, they have proven me wrong. By taking Oliver Queen down the Dark Knight path, they've made the show more interesting and entertaining than it actually should be. I really like the guy playing Ollie---he carries off the dark aspect of the character better than the guy from Smallville would have, IMHO. And Laurel "Dinah" Lance has been growing on me with each episode, but then I have a weakness for attractive, dark-haired beauties. I was pleasantly surprised to see Deathstroke show up and I'm sure he'll surface again. The Royal Flush Gang was also handled with a decent "real world" twist.
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

Agreed but I'm having a flash back to " The Blur".

Arrow's good adaption of Grell's run on Green Arrow. It's shaken up and down a bit from the comic, but just a few episodes in, and it's become one of my favorite super hero related TV shows, and I'm not even a big fan of Green Arrow.

If his sister is Speedy will she end up being his side kick later down the road and is the body guard going to be Falcon or Black Lightning or just ex-marine side kick guy and is the hot computer programer (that needs to be in the show waaayyyy more than she is currently) going to be Canary? In any case the show is really, really good. I watched one night on a whim and after one episode, I was hooked. Great use and choice of villains so far too.

well Falcon is Marvel so that is out and I am pretty sure that Laurel is Black Canary (since they already said her name is Dinah Lance)

will the body guard by a hero? i don't think so, but I suppose he could. black lightning is doubtful.

Speedy - I doubt she'll be a hero sidekick but besides the nickname she shares the drug problem

yes, it is a great show.

Laurel is my least favorite on the show and I really hope they don't do the whole give the girlfriend super powers like they did with Lana in Smallville. Maybe they jut chose that name for the character since GA & Canary are kind of an item. At the same time it's kind of dumb since a she should be blonde since a Canary is yellow and it's a bit of a play on words with the characters image. Remember in Smallville Pete became Plasticman (in one of the stupidist plot points of the series) and his name wasn't O'Brien so it is possible they would change it up in that regard. They really do have a lot of potential with this show and I still say the computer tech needs to be on screen way more than she. Maybe the bodyguard will end up being Cyborg but even if they don't go the Smallville root and find a spot for every character (whether or not it made sense on the show is another issue) and they just kept him as he is, the development of the characters are coming along nicely. Also by not making Speedy, Speedy, it will save us a lot of time watching copis amounts of training montages, snarky remarks, and bad archery during the course of season two so it's probably best if they just keep her where she is and as for not liking Laurel...she's a carbon coy of Lois Lane and Lana Lang and that stop at nothing for the truth hard nose lawyer character is just sooo overdone on these types of shows. It's funny though because when Smallville was on, I hated Lana (and the terrible actress they chose to play her) but I loved the character of Lois (and the awesome actress they chose to play her.)

Canary is brunette in most versions of the comic and wears a blonde wig

Right...thats how they did her in Smallville as well (she was also a laywer or environmentalist or something like that on that show too even though she's supposed to be a florist) but I'm just saying they could break the mold on this one. It's just a "want" list I have for the show and I thought the whole Lana Superhero thing was terrible on Smallville and made the show tedious at times and I'm really hoping they don't shoehorn her in as the Canary later on.

What is interesting is that the computer programmer is Felicity Smoak so maybe they'll go with Firestorm later on. Although now that I've given it some actual thought, while Arrow is a superhero show, none of the characters so far have displayed and "superpowers" Arrow himself is just good at archery so adding an element of the supernatural seems a bit out of character for the show right now which leads me to believe what was mentioned above about them just using the names of the characters in the show since it's all in the GA universe anyway (plus it keeps the fanboys happy) and stripping them of any powers to keep it real. Basically it's Batman with archery. I actually like that idea better than having Aquaman show up at some point. Having Bruce Wayne get together with Oliver would be pretty cool though (although Warner is never going to let Batman back on TV again.)

I just looked this up....The FBI agent is John Diggle and he is a reference to Andy Diggle the author of GA Year One which a lot of this show is based off of.

i like it, just wish they would do away with the makeup mask and give him a real one. i mean, if he ever had to make a quick change he would never get the makeup off, it just does not make sense
