I think it's official. Same for the AT-ATs; they're stored on hangers. I don't remember it in any of the movies, but I've seen design sketches with them like that, and other tie ins.... like the Marvel comic.... that used the idea.

awesome. now if only Lucas Films would wake up and make cartoons like this. the clone wars is stagnant animation. the characters are dull and lifeless.

Yeah, that first batch of Genndy Tartakovsky TCW shorts was great.
A lot of cool stuff was packed into those three minute episodes.
