Personally I think they waited waaay too long for the sequel.

Back in 2009 the new movie was CRAZY HOT --- even to many NON classic Star Trek fans.

What did CBS do ?

Nothing for 4 years.

IMO CBS dropped the ball bigtime on Trek and they just might pay for it come release time in 2013

CBS? Paramount has Trek, not CBS. I think the movie will do just fine. they were better off giving it a few years. part of what almost destroyed the franchise was Paramount pushing stiff out too fast. people wee tired of it

Remember that the film was scheduled to be released June 2012, but there were many Abrams-related delays. I don't think the extra year wait will hurt it much, as long as the reviews/word of mouth are strong again..
