great movie. had my wife and kids watch it on netflix with me sometime in the last year. they all thought it was dumb. they just don't get it. Pipers best work by far. classic Carpenter

Man, a thread on this movie starts at least once a year.

It's the coolest movie no one knows about. Kind of like Evil Dead/Evil Dead 2 before the cult grew around it. I always liked Piper (even as a heel) and I feel with a better break he could have actually have become a big star, like The Rock has.

That's great news. Shout Factory put together excellent releases. Until now the U.K. DVD has been the only one with a Carpenter and Piper commentry.

Piper is just such a fun guy. I can't remember what channel it was on but he was looking to buy a new house. If it was anyone else it would have been sooo boring.

Thats a really fun movie. I haven't seen it in awhile though. I'm gonna need to get the DVD now.

One of my favorites. Any film with Keith David in it is a plus. Possibly the least gory carpenter film. I love the wad of cash when the glasses go on "this is your god".
