      Hmmmm....

It's a weird movie, and it jumps around a bit 'cos they're trying to cram a LOT of the comic into one film. If you like weird, it's okay. It's also mwhere the band "Duran Duran" got their name from. Make of that what you will....

Its a interesting film. Wish there were more Sci-Fi films from this era actually. I enjoy '60s art deco.

There were TONS of 'em from Europe.... in all variety of skill and budget. Tracking a lot of 'em down is tough.... especially original versions, since a lot got chopped up and made into "American" films. I've been looking for a copy of "Mission Stardust" forever. (Even though I've heard nothing but bad things.)

Does this help, or make it worse?:

I have a friend who speaks Russian.... I should have her over to translate sometime.

I always find Barbarella boring and disappointing every time that I try to watch it.

I think that you would enjoy "the Perils of Gwendoline in the land of the Yik-Yak' much more.

This is a classic - if you combine Flash Gordon with james Bond and thrown in a scantily clad over sexual jane fonda you get Barbarella

I love it! It is a must see for the consumate 40 something sci fi geek.

also if you like the band Duran Duran - you can learn something

To be honest, I tried to watch it but got bored with it.

T&A is fine to a point, but without a decent story I get restless fast

Put me on the "no likee" list, it's on netflix and I gave it another try but nah.

Which is weird because I LOVE and collect Euro trash Sci Fi movies from the 60s and 70s. Also a big fan of John Phillip Law (not to mention sexy ladies) but I think Fonda bugs me.

For completely silly times, I present you with Wild,Wild Planet!

It's stylish and Jane as Barberella is eye candy....but like others said it's boring. Coolest thing about it is when they say Durand Durand....as a fan Of Duran Duran i get a kick out of it.....lol

In the 80's O'Shea reprised his role as Dr.Durand in Duran Duran's The Wild Boys Arena video in the long version he returns to earth to Battle DD

I couldn't get into it and I love cheesy old movies.
Just watch the opening credits. Ms. Fonda looks AMAZING

It's mildly entertaining...if you like sci-fi/fantasy and the obvious attractions of this film. If you look at early MTV and the careers of people like Madonna, this film is pretty influential.
