Resident Evil: Retribution

The new Resident Evil movie is due out this September. Rather than a reboot with a story something along the lines of the first few games (which are actually pretty decent stories in their own right) Mila Jovovich is in it again. So is Michelle Rodriguez (she's awful in everything). I really liked the first RE movie. It was a fun "locked in a room with zombies and there's no way out" flick. I can't say the same about any of the ones that came after. Alice is this generations Ripley. For the longest time, Hollywood felt you couldn't make an Alien movie without her, now it seems we can't get a RE film without Alice. In both franchises, neither character is all that interesting and you don't need either one in every movie and yet here we are again.
This one actually looks pretty good though (don't they all?) It simply cannot be worse than the last one.

I love Mila Jovovich ever since I saw her as Leeloo in The Fifth Element...and yes, I enjoy her Resident Evil flicks, lol.

...and I agree on Michelle Rodriguez...don't like he either...I don't know why they keep hiring her...she's a one-note actress...always in pizzed off mode, meh.

I watch all of these films and they are a guilty pleasure for me and my wife. For the life of me though I don't remember them at all.

I gotta admit the same. As much as a movie buff as I am and as fussy as I am with the quality of the movies I like, I have to admit that I really enjoy watching this movie franchise. I don't care how bad everyone says they are, I love them!

It's really telling that the audiences always rate the RE movies much higher than critics.

I especially loved in part 2 when the helicopter crashed in Spencer Gorge. I take pictures of my kids there every summer.

I liked the 1st 3 Just fine ...., But I didn't care much for the 4th Film , outside of the Firering of the Shot Gun with Coins . I will ofcourse check this Film out as well.

I like Michelle Rodiguez ...., She seems so Damn Nasty , it's attractive to Me. She Frick'in Died in the 1st ..., I dunno how she's back.

And Ripely was Best in Aliens 4 ..... , They Shoulda Made a few More, with her as the Test Tube Baby ...., it was great.

Alice has died too many times to count in this series because she's actually an army of clones... I'm sure they will have no trouble providing a clone explanation for Rodriguez's character.
