Ah man. I saw him speak back when I was in fourth grade (I think) and it was really, really enjoyable. -
I'm sorry to see him go as I was a fan but he lived a long productive life. Based from when I last saw him on TV, he was still as sharp as ever.Places to find PlaidStallions online: https://linktr.ee/Plaidstallions

I got to ask him a question at Q&A during World Con 1986 in Atlanta. It was the coolest thing that had happened to me up to that point in my life. The universe feels his passing.

I only read The Martian Chronicles and Farenheight:451 circa 1998. We were never assigned it in my English class when I was in High School, (other classes had it), and didn't get around to it much later in life as I was on an Asimov and Clarke kick.Comment

A true cultural giant indeed, and a profound influence on my young self (much like Forrest Ackerman). Sad to see him go, but still amazed by his works and far from having read or seen them all!Micronauts Collector, Historian, Consultant

A true giant of the science fiction world...his influence & creation cannot be overestimated. I was lucky enough to correspond with him a few years ago, he would draw little cartoon cats on all his letters & envelopes. A truly nice man too.Comment
