I was surprised that I liked this film. Pretty well done.

Now the question is, when does Mattel come out with the Battle Action Disney Princess line?

I saw this yesterday along with Prometheus. I expected to enjoy Prometheus over Snow White, however I actually found SW to be a much better experience than Prometheus. Charlize does a great job as the Evil Queen (I couldn't help think throughout her appearance in the film how perfect she would have been in the role of Angelique in the Dark Shadows film...not only does she possess the right look, but also the delicate skill of blending beauty & pure evil). The opening sequences are very well laid out and the Dark Forest is really something to see, and even though there are some lackluster sequences here and there (the Enchanted Forest for one), overall I found it to be a really decent movie.

Just a heads up...Stewart does not sparkle, nor does she take down a deer at any point in the film.

There are eight dwarves to start with, but none of them have the Disney-esque names. However, they do deliver some of the best lines in the movie (sorry, no spoilers).

As much as people dislike Kristen stewart, I think she fit the role and did a great job!

I'll definitely buy the blu ray when it comes out.

The only time in Snow White the dwarfs had names were in the Disney cartoon. That's the most popular version so the names stuck but otherwise the dwarfs in the original story are nameless and are described by their character traits or personalities, which is where Disney came up with the names in the first place.
