Star Trek Wolf in the Fold question

Just had a conversation with someone about Wolf in the Fold and they brought up a question I never considered before.

By the way Wolf in the Fold is the Jack the Ripper episode

Anyway, they suggested the killer was Jack the Ripper INSIDE Scotty's body doing the killing of the first 2 girls.

I always assumed it was Mr Hingest's body that was the killer of everyone.

    BUT,

The idea it could have been Scotty's body killing the first 2 is interesting

    what do you think ?

I hadn't ever considered it, actually, but since Redjac was non-corporeal and Scotty blacked out during both murders, the entity could have taken over his body and surpressed his conciousness. Interesting thinking. WITF has always been one of my fave TOS eppys, BTW...

      Hmmmm....

I've always thought Scotty's body did the killings.

That's the way I always read that one, Mikey. The spirit possessed Scotty and did the killing, then left him holding the bag.

I'm with Don and rche. I've always thought Mr. Scott's body was commandeered by Redjac.

            Interesting view, guys

I never dreamed 60's TV would have a regular cast member as a killer (even if he was possessed)

That's why the thought never occured to me

I always assumed Hingest body did it

I always thought it was Scotty too, because the blackouts made him innocent. Redjac just "borrowed" his body. And why else would he be knocked out?

Pretty much had to be Redjik in Scotty's body. At one point he is holding the bloody knife over one girls body. Also, the possession is what I believe was causing the black outs. Not the recent blow to the head.

One of the series best episodes hands down.
                      Looking for:

--Lion Rock "Mr Rock's" shoes/ boots (these may also be the same as the lion rock monster line boots)

                      --Mystery Astronaught

Don't know i ever seriously considered it, but it makes sense that it was Scotty's body.
