    Awake...is put to sleep

Is anyone else watching this show? Probably not. It got killed in the ratings and NBC is not renewing. I am BUMMMMED. A great drama that handled it's fantastical premise very well. I was genuinely moved by several episodes and the mystery of the two realities was so interesting. The last episode is this Thursday, I hope they were able to do something that can give it resolution and a decent ending.

I liked it, but am not surprised it got the axe. High concept shows don't tend to last too long. I'm sure Touch will get dropped as well.

The Finale was satisfying. I will really miss this show, such great actors, so well told... but I also wonder if it's not for the best, if they could have kept it going as it was. If it was originally planned as a 13 episode series it would have been fantastic.

Let's see, this was an NBC show, right? The same network responsible for pulling the plug on QUANTUM LEAP (which was great) and on JOURNEYMAN (which could have been great had they given it a chance). Why, then, does this decision NOT surprise me....
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

I'm still stung over Journeyman. It put me in a place where I don't try new shows until I see if they'll survive season 1.

Yeah----I agree. I was totally in LOVE with the whole concept of JOURNEYMAN because it was fresh and original and I loved the guy who played the main character (I still think he would've made a decent Thor, too). What really hacks me off is that I haven't been able to get it on DVD or Bluray yet....

True. I suspect it's 'cos once you get past the basic premise the episodes tend to fall abck on the same old tv plots.... until the EVIL version of the character shows up.
