Looking for the name of an Old SF knockoff movie

I'm looking for the name of an old cheap Science Fiction movie that came out in the late 70's or very early 80's. It was a kind of Star Wars knock off. what I recall is that the characters used kind of light sabers and wore Michael Jackson style red and black shiny leather outfits. If I recall correctly, the movie had the title "Star ......."
It could be that it was a pilot for a TV show, but over here in Euro it was shown as a movie in the cinema.
    Any ideas?

It probably was. The Adventures of Stella Star. In skimpy fake leather outfits.
Caroline Munro is coming to Belgium next month, and I have my Starcrash poster ready...

Sounds like Star Crash. David Hasselhoff is in it, and Marjoe Gortner. My favorite characters are Stella and the robot policeman.

Thanks so much! That's the movie. I never realized that David Hasselhoff was part of it..

Now I'm trying to get a copy of it.
