Late to the party, Enjoying Matt Smith Doctor

With my wife's Kindle, I've been catching up on the new version of Dr. Who. I am really liking Matt Smith as the Doctor. Just watched his first series. He seems to play the part as if he is a much older and wiser time lord. I like the winks to his past selves that they throw in too.

I am really hep to Smith's performance, the last two guys were great but Smith captures more of the aura that previous Doctors had. Which is weird considering he never grew up with the show itself.

No secret, i'm not much of a fan of the Steven Moffat era but I do like Matt Smith.

Call me crazy but he kinda reminds me of Sylvester McCoy --- meaning you never know what he's REALLY thinking.

Tennant and Eccleston were very transparent in comparison

I'm now up to "The Girl Who Waited" in season 6. The writing has been a bit uneven, but it none-the-less has me hooked.
