Shout! Factory is releasing Power Rangers on DVD.

Well, I thought somebody would have mentioned this by now. I just never thought that somebody would be me.

Shout! Factory is releasing Power Rangers on DVD sometime this summer.

Brian Ward, the guy handling the DVD sets for Shout! Factory is wanting fan suggestions for the DVDs. He's getting lots of input over on the S!F message boards and from Rangerboard.

The current plan is for the DVDs to have closed captioning. That could change of course.

Also, it looks like the first release might be Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.



As for Power Rangers Samurai. That's being handled by Lionsgate Entertainment. They've announced the first two releases.

I might be interested in just the first 3 seasons of the original power rangers. When they came out, I was on the cusp of too old to care but it was on in the background in my house as my brother liked them. I thought Tommy the Green/White Ranger was cool.

I would prefer to own the original Japanese Super Sentai series.....I've seen Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger in it's original form and it leaves Mighty Morphin in the dust.....

Yes. I'm very well aware of Zyuranger, and I know some of you would prefer the original Japanese Super Sentai series. But I have a strong feeling we'll never see any of Super Sentai on DVD domestically in Region 1 as long as Saban (the company) keeps making Power Rangers series. Personally, I'd love to own both.
