          Red Tornado
          great list
I would go with the T-800 though rather than T-850

I must add Roy Batty and I am among those who believe Dekard is replicant as well so he probably tops the list

robot from Lost in Space is iconic

and as hardy girl reminded me FEMBOTS are up there

I think it is hard to have R2 without 3PO
          V.I.N.CENT., B.O.B, Maximillian are cool

          The Iron Giant

I think KITT would be considered a Robot (though clearly not an android)

Not sure how I left Data out or 70's Cylons.

                Pick 5 robots. How?

                  Classic BSG Cylons
                  B9 Lost in Space
                  Vincent Black Hole
                  Maximillian Black Hole

You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

I'd add "Red Dwarf's" 'Kryten' to the list.
                      'Hymie' from "Get Smart"
'Norman' from Star Trek's "I, Mudd",
                      and, of course, "...Stella, dear...."
And 'Ruth', from Star Trek's "Shore Leave"
"Yes, Jim darling, it is me. It is Ruth."
"...You can capture the Klingon & bring him back to the Enterprise!"

Gort from The Day the Earth Stood Still

                              T-800 from the Terminator movies

                              And...

                              Ro-Man from Robot Monster!

I would include Roy Batty but I consider him a genetically enhanced human.

Forgot about Ro-Man. I'm even going to do a sort of custom of him.
