The Sci Fi channel really stinks

The Syfylis channel, is what I call it. You think you're going to have a great experience, but all you are left with is something really unpleasant that you just can't get rid of.

They usually play movies that were too bad to get a theatre release, with atrocious CG, and that you have never heard of.
The rest are endless repeats of TV shows that you have already seen too many times.

their original movies are meant to be bad b-movies. i guess there must be an audience for that. they have not had any really good original series since BsG went off. but in their heydey they had some great stuff.....Farscape, Invisible Man, SG, BSG....it's a shame really because at one time it was my favorite channel

I LOVE their Asylum movies. You pit an Anything-A Saurus vs. a Mega-Anything else and I will watch it. About half the time, I end up falling asleep during it, but here's the great thing about crappy SyFy movies - when I wake up, no matter where we are in the movie, or even if it's ended and the next one is on - it doesn't matter. I haven't missed a single plot point, and there's still two giant ridiculous things fighting each other.

And as a bonus, sometimes one of the monsters eats an '80s pop icon. How can you go wrong with that?

SyFy has gone downhill somewhat since their heyday. I liked them when they were showing FARSCAPE, STARGATE and, of course, BSG. I enjoy FACE OFF in the first run episodes and MONSTER MAN looks like it could be cool. I always enjoy it when they run TWILIGHT ZONE marathons, too. Their original movies, however, have the stench of something that would ooze out of an orangutan's arse!!!!

Syfy has sucked for a while. for a channel that caters to the same crowd that did a letter writing campaign that made the networks renew Star trek, they sure as hell don't know their audience
