Okay, I guess I should have started a new thread instead of reviving this one.
Anyone want to chime in on their experiences with this guy? And if you've been to Disney's Star Wars days, do celebrities charge autograph fees?

Good point. Daniel Logan is making a career of it. Plus, he's a nice kid. I met him years ago. I'm sorry to read that Gorn Captain's experience with him wasn't as pleasant.
That is very cool. I'll remember that.Last edited by Chris; May 17, '12, 6:58 AM.Leave a comment:

I quite liked him in Jingle All The Way and thought for a kid actor he did pretty well so I blame direction for his poor acting in Star Wars. George Lucas should stick to writing tbh.please, Anakin was the role of a lifetime...good or bad he was Still Anakin F'N SKYWALKER! how many people would've loved that? He need's to grow some ballz and snap out of it...I'm surprised he hasn't blamed Turboman as well..
It wasn't the role, it was his poor acting skills that ruined his career, I met him and Like him...but come on dudeLeave a comment:

Reviving this thread because Jake Lloyd is a guest at Disney World's Star Wars Days event the weekend we are going to DW. I know my son will be excited to meet him, and I wanted to know what to expect. Anyone know if the celebrities charge for autographs there? And how is Lloyd in person, especially to young ones?

I've met Logan. Now that's an obnoxious little ****. It's the first time, that I know of, when the convention organizers were going to tell an actor not to come back for the next day of signing. Like, "please go home now"...here's daniel logan all grown up who seems to have embraced his boba fett character

All good points.... I don't think he's really saying that either - in this article they're just pulling out a couple of sentences of what he's saying. ....he's just answering questions in an interview - he's not going on Oprah and writing a tell-all book.
Even though I don't think his life is tragic - and even though he's making money - I think anyone would have mixed feelings about having the entire course of their life set up for them when they were 10 (or however old he was).
It's just a few magnified sentiments from an iconic actor for STAR WARS
nerds to feed upon.
Now back to "Who shot first."

10% of life is what happens to you. 90% is how you react. Sounds to me like he needs to quit talking about something that happen when he was a kid and move on with his life. I don't see Ron Howard having career conflicts with his status as a child star. Kurt Russell has done real well. Jeff Bridges has had a good life. Perhaps he needs to quit worrying about what he thought Star Wars fame would be like and focus on what he can do today.Last edited by MIB41; Mar 8, '12, 8:04 AM.Leave a comment:

^^^What he said!Everyone, including last year's Oscar award winning actress came across as wooden in that film...Lloyd was a kid, and other kids can be cruel. Too many young actors are crushed by the hollywood machine at such an early age. I think we tend to see much more examples like the Different Strokes kids than someone who has kept an even head... like Jodie Foster.Leave a comment:

I worked with some people who had kids who went to high school with him in Carmel, Indiana. They all said he mostly tried to hide in the shadows and was a big time introvert. I know he went on to Columbia University film school. Maybe he'll become a producer and turn out some blockbusters like Ralphie from Xmas Story (Iron Man!).Leave a comment:

I still wish someone would make a parody of Samuel Jackson's character from Pulp Fiction as a Jedi Knight. "I have this little saying before I slay your lil' Jedi a*s..."

There's worse childhoods than Lloyds - I'm sure of that. I don't think his life is tragic - and I don't think he's really saying that either - in this article they're just pulling out a couple of sentences of what he's saying. I've seen a longer interview where he discusses that he wasn't happy, but he's not whiny to me. Here he's just answering questions in an interview - he's not going on Oprah and writing a tell-all book.
