    Terra nova cancelled

I kinda followed this show, just to see how it opened up, but I just felt the whole scenario with the so called "lost world" was very unrealistic. Everytime they went into the forest, it seemed dead, I always imagined it would be teaming with life, giant bugs, and certainly a bit more , than the odd lizard.
I just dont bother getting into shows these days, as they simply get cancelled, and youre left hanging

I really wanted to like this show, but they never delivered.
The scripts seemed to be rejects from 24 and Lost, with strong emphasis on spies/traitors in the group (24) and a hostile other group (Lost).
Very few dinosaurs, which should have been all over the place, but weren't.

And then there's the "aren't we the typically all-american family". This was supposed to be about a prehistoric world, not about an average daytime soap opera.

I liked it okay except for the seeming mandatory emo-teenage son that has to be in EVERYTHING these days and the lack of dinosaurs....
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

I watched the 1st 3 episodes and it just didn't do anything for me. I was really hoping it wouldn't suck too.

Seems like every father and son relationship must be a strained one, but in the end they learn to appreciate each other.

Im kinda watching this now as well, and enjoying, not spectacular but worth a watch. The camera work is a bit getting used to. Apparently this isnt getting great viewing, so at the back of your mind your thinking, theyll never find the guy anyway.

Never started watching it, because I figured it was going to be a dud. I was bummed when they cancelled "The Unit". I suspect it was because everyone got tired of the silly housewives little subplot. When they cancel shows, I wish they would at least have some sort of closing episode to wrap things up.

I may be in the minority but the words "From Steven Spielberg" usually tell me I shouldn't bother...

I can't say I'm suprised. For a show with SO much going on and so much potential, it seemed really dull. I've not seen THE RIVER. i'd like to check it out.

It wasn't bad, but there was so much more they could've done with this show
