    Damnation Alley blu ray

I have this on the way. I don't know why I am so excited about it. a Cheesy 1970's Sci-fi movie that 20'th Century Fox had more faith in than that weird sci-fi movie to come called Star Wars.

    I always loved Damnation Alley

I'd be happy just seeing the whole thing in letterbox

Always been a favorite of mine.
Did they clean up some of the SPX? I remember that the scorpions looked pretty unconvincing.

I actually just picked this movie up a week ago on Amazon. I didn't think anyone even cared to watch the movie except me!

You know, the movie's overall special effects have that "They sure bit off more than they can chew" look but one thing I am impressed with it the irradiated skies. The skies were matted in even when the shot was panning or otherwise moving fairly successfully. Doing this with 70's technology must of been a real bee-eye-itch.

I think they used some of the dam breaking sequence from "Earthquake!" during the climax for stock footage.

Movie stills show that they made Scorpion props and I wonder why they didn't use it at all.

Yes, that would be great but they have it on DVD too (in case that went unsaid)
