Nighstalker finally going to make the big screen?

Interesting news for Nightstalker fans. I loved the old show but the remake a few years ago left me cold.

Darren McGavin's portrayal had a quirkiness to it. So Depp might be able to pull that off. Like anything, it just depends on the treatment. Emeraldknight and I discussed this last week and he said something that made alot of sense. The remake should be a period piece taking place int he early 70's. I too agree. I think that would be ideal given the subject matter.

I would love to see a NS movie set in the 70s for certain. And Depp better be drivin' Kolchak's sweet Mustang, babies!

Depp plays quirky well so he could probably pull it off. But he needs to be "quirky" not out and out weird.

But like MIB41 said, it depends on several factors like director and script.

He is one year younger than Mcgaven when he took the role, his casting is a compliment to the original.
