Lucas is delusional. Solo's being held at gunpoint by a guy who says he's going to kill him -since when does someone need to shoot at you first to defend yourself?

That weird logic trickled into the newer Star Wars movies too - it's just all crazy.

I posted this in a previous thread.

In the script and the novel, Greedo doesn't even shoot at all. If he wants to re-edit the movie, fine. But to make claims like that which are so easily disproven is mind boggling. It's hard to believe he is that far gone
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

I think that a 3 film series that covers the Galactic Space Senate's hearings into who shot first is long overdue

Considering Greedo is at point blank range, it's hard to fathom him shooting first ...and MISSING!

I can see Kenobi being cuffed and marched off by The Hammerhead Squad.
He shouts: "No wait, I have to save the Rebellion!"

But David Caruso shrugs, puts on his sunglasses, and points at Walrus Man's severed arm: "Not on my watch, old man..."

You know what this whole thing reminds me of?

We're Captain Picard and Lucas is the Cardasian

Maybe Greedo was trained by the same folks that train the Stormtroopers?

Years into the future, young people will only know the Special Editions.
And underground movements of veteran fans will hold secret meetings, to educate people about how SW truly was when it came out.
They'd have to be careful, cause the Lucas Police would be patroling, in search of rebels.
One old wise man would be the Keeper of the last copy of The Holiday Special. His location would be the greatest secret in the universe...
