Ya know, part of me would like to see Ford back as Deckard...but deep down I realize that Deckard's story is finished and that they should tell a new story with a different character.
My vote for the new Blade Runner is Russell Crowe.

I'm so tired, when I read the thread title, I thought it meant that CHevy would be making the spinner cars.

Agreed. I think bringing Ford back at this point doesn't merit much for story after all this time. I thought him coming back as Indy would have worked better than what it did. But alas, his age is now becoming a factor. Not as an actor mind you. But to play those specific roles. Harrison will always be a great actor.

Yeah i must agree, lets move forward. One of my favorite moments in life was when i met Ford and Tommy lee jones on the set of the Fugitive. It was filmed 5 minutes from my house. I still have scrips and pictures from it. I just kept thinking omg it's han solo, i was such a dork.

I actually think that they did fine in dealing with Indy's advancing age in that story and Ford handled the action scenes convincingly.

To me, the problem wasn't Ford, it was (with a couple of exceptions) a horrible script.

I actually liked Ford in "Cowboys and Aliens". He was pretty convincing as the grizzled war veteran/land baron. He still runs like he means it, like he's getting the hell outta dodge! Other actors prance or saunter, Ford, as either Indy, Han or ANYBODY moves like his life depends on it, because it's SUPPOSED to!!! It's those little things that he does that makes him a great actor.

Harrison still sells it and Ij4 didn't fail because of anything he did on the screen it was the script. That said I don't want him to be attahced to a new bladerunner. As iconic as the original was we don't need a sequel or St 2009 alt timeline we just need truely new film.

putting Harrison in would be like putting Tom Skerritt or Sigorney Wearver into a new alien movie just casue he was in the original, let the new film rise or fall on it's own merrit

I read producer Michael Deeley's memoirs, with a large section on BR. Ford and Scott never got along. I don't think either of them would care to revisit the past.

                    I'd start fresh.
The only one I'd like to see return is Edward James Olmos. I liked his character a lot.

My hopes run towards prequel. I always felt the onset of replicant tech and following government regulation could have an interesting storyline. Told thru the eye's of a central charactor like a recruit for a new police unit initiated to deal with replicant related crime.
It kinda follows real life. Like when companies created the the first VCR's. Legal agencys soon after found they had to deal with new crime ventures like piracy and such. Or the birth of the internet spawned its share of unique crime and cyber terrorism. It seems like Big BUsiness is fond of throwing new tech at the world without forthought to ramifications.
