Darth vader burger... On a black bun

Darth Vader burger? A black bun? Oui! - CSMonitor.com

Perhaps one of our Belgian friends can give us a review when it comes out? Wonder if quick will have exclusive toys as well?

Man, I love weirdly colored food. I would eat that. It's just a good thing they didn't make a blue hamburger, I would have to get on an airplane and take a trip.

    I love blue soda.

I love weird colored food too, but I'm not sure I would eat that. I could just see my teeth, and my *ahem* toilet water, turning black.

Its like that Spongebob where he falls in love with a Krabby Patty and it gets progressively nastier during the show. Yummy. Like a frostbit toe.

              Um......Ew?

              Let me rephrase that: EEEEEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!

              That bun looks HORRIBLE!!

              Black bread?

Okay, I know that there is such a thing, but there is no way in H-E-L-L that I ever, EVER eat that!

If that bread is Pumpernikel I get it but if it is some artificially colored bread, PASS!

They used beet root as food coloring. It's all natural, just like they use squid ink to color pasta.
We have Quick fast food chains here in Belgium, but the ad says France.
Let's hope they get it here, too!

                    I'll investigate!

For those put off by the black bun, they're also offering a Jedi Burger:

^^^ Good thing they didn't call the black one a Sith Burger.

Did someone mistranslate Darth Vader to Dark Vader (looks like officially licensed)? I have a feeling it won't do well. People will associate black with burnt and will make a good case study in a couple of years. Didn't Heinz or some other Ketchup company try making purple Ketchup or some other strange colors? Completely bombed if memory is right.

Dark Vador has always been the French description of our favorite Sith Lord. There are even official early buttons and T-shirts using that name.

I'm going to Quick this week, and I'll let you guys know.
As far as taste is concerned, I have always prefered Quick to McDonald's...

And for some reason, the Jedi burger reminds me of the asteroid space slug...
