Trek 2 villain is not Khan

Considering the last 2 Star Trek movies featured Romulans I would be happy if the franchise never showed them again.

I agree: enough with the Romulans already! I'd take a (good) Klingon (as in really a bad@$$ Klingon) or I'd love to see a redo on the Gorn. Think what they could do with them these days!

I always liked the novel Q Squared tying in Trelane from TOS with the Q from Next Generation.

Now that would be sweet, seeing a BIG screen telling of the Gary Mitchell "event". To this day, I'd still swear that eppy of TOS is what inspired Claremont and Byrne during the whole "Dark Phoenix" saga! Perhaps they could even find a way to bring in the Q Continuum, since there are those who posit that that is the true energy that Mitchell tapped into....

I am so glad that the next movie wont have khan in it ...that direction was all wrong.....I still hate the fact that Kirk was made a captain so fast...hopfully this movie will help make Kirk"s promotion make sense

I didn't have a problem with the tempo of the 1st movie. Kirk's promotion and character development (the whole crew as well) was done very nicely. I hope they continue what they have started and move forward. I don't want them jumping 2 years into the future with Kirk and Spock being besties. I would like to see more development there. I am not so concerned about the villain, I think it will be secondary to the character development. Nero wasn't the reason I loved Star Trek.

Wonderful news! Wrath of Khan will always go down as one of the classic Trek films of all time. A reboot needs to look elsewhere for inspiration.

Perhaps they should looks in some underarms for the proper inspir---oh no, wait, that's perspiration. Sorry, my bad. please continue and ignore the bald man in the corner....

I'm kinda hoping for a renegade starship captain, Kirk's equal in every way. Bold, brash and daring, just a little bit evil. I'm talking a captain who would lock on and shoot a photon torpedo at a space walker. Someone who makes his enemies eat a dilithium burrito before lauching them into space from an airlock. I'm looking for a Stone Cold Steve Austin mixed with the Rock mixed with Kirk with a little dash of Palpatine.

Hmmmmm----a dilithium burrito sounds almost as dangerous as a photon suppository.....

Hope they dont use Khan in this one to. I dont want them to boldly go where they have already been; this reboot needs to stick with new adventures we have yet to see.
