After watching and re-watching both IM and IM2, I gotta say IM is definitely the superior film. This is just my opinon, but I think they kinda let Robert Downey, Jr.'s ego get a little carried away with the show on the second one, plus I HATED Sam Rockwell (an actor I usually like) as Justin Hammer (too young and smarmy, not nearly sinister enough) and I even MORE HATED the fact that Whiplash basically was another version of Iron Man (powerd by the same source, just channeled the energy in a different way) and, in the end, wound up basically recreating the end of IM all over again, only with an army or Iron Mongers instead of just one.
I still can't watch the whole scene of RDJ at his party being drunk and stumbling around in the armour without cringing. I think the whole "Demon In A Bottle" storyline (which, I thought, this was channeling) is strong enough for a movie storyline all it's own....
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.
BTW, I meant to say welcome Bkane. It's good to see yet another Kentuckian on the boards!

well, WHiplash was really Crimson Dynamo, so he basically is another Iron Man. Loved Rockwell as basically a low budget nerdy Stark. From what I've seen of Avengers it looks like RDJ may steal the show with the better one liners.
