Aragorn actually can be seen in the preview(in Bilbo's house which is a little odd).

that is not Aragorn in Frodos house, it is Thorin and Kili. Not sure how they will explain dwarves looking like men

this looks Awesome, cannot wait to see this one...and two. I am sure some of Del toro's designs will make it into the final film. Will be interesting to see how well they work Beorn into it

They arent going to change actors for Frodo, Aragorn, etc are they? I cant really see how they will fit into The Hobbit but im looking forward to seeing it. He should be able to do a even better job on this since he doesnt have to concentrate on 3 movies at once.

Yikes, so the Viggo doppleganger in Bilbo's house is Kili? Rather tall for a dwarf but what the hey. If Thorin can look like a Klingon then I guess Kili can look like Aragorn, lol.

I suspect, and the trailer confirms it, that Ian holm Bilbo will open the movie telling the tale of his adventure to frodo(elijah Wood)
the other characters like Galadriel, Gimli, Legolas, would have been alive in that era so if the actors are available I am sure they will make an appearance. well, we already see Galadriel there, and hugo Weaving is back as Elrond, Serkis as Gollum too
Aragorn would have been alive but would be Young...so maybe a different actor there and they could meet him in Rivendell when they stay with Elrond

I suspect this movie will have a lighter tone as well. I already feel that there may be some suddle little in jokes. I know the actors will enjoy reprising their roles even if its just very small parts for most of them.
Also, is it just me or should this be the kind of movie Peter Jackson should do? Just think what he could do with some of the other popular fantasy books. He now has the experience and is evident hes willing to take his time on them.

the Hobbit novel was much lighter in tone than LOTR so the movie is bound to be as well, although I suspect they will darken it somewhat so as not to be silly

I consider the entire trilogy as pretty much one long-*** movie, and it's my personal favorite of all-time. Nothing else is really close. That said, I'm stoked about the possibilities of the Hobbit. Jackson's vision of Middle Earth completely owns me.
I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.

Nothing beats a movie with singing Dwarves.
                                Looking forward to it!
