I have a question ...
In scenes where there's both live action and special effects that are clearly on video, how are they going to reproduce them ?
Do they really still have the unaltered negatives of every single scene ever filmed before they were tinkered with ? -
^^^Didn't e go over this in a previous thread Mike? I would think they do have the negative just because it's Star Trek. They know Star Trek is a gold mine that keeps on giving.Comment

Since all the Effects work was done in the video realm, the film won't have any Of that and any live action scenes with effects needed can be redone.
With TOS, they used the negatives as well but it was a post effects final negative, since it was all done on film.
As far as I know now, they were supposed to have saved all the film elements for TNG at least.Comment
