    Tron

Amazingly - I've never seen all of Tron until last night.

Weird, trippy, goofy, horrible - but also fun and risky, almost admirable.

I'm glad I never bothered seeing it all as a kid, I don't think I would have enjoyed it. In 2011 it's really something!

NOTE: I did see TRON: Legacy in the theatre, and didn't really get much out of it - but now I almost admire how true they tried to stay to the original.

I only seen Tron once and that was in the theatre when it first came out.

    I was around 16 or 17

    I thought it was boring

The computer graphics didn't really impress me at the time.

Someday i'd like to try rewatching it again

Yeah - again at the time I don't think I would have liked it either. The computer effects are clunky to the point of being B-movie camp "look over there!" then they cut to a couple of cubes moving slowly.

All the things they did to try and mesh the optical and computer effects are pretty cool though. The weird flat post-production coloring, the hand drawn animation - there are also these weird flashes of the exposure in the film changing quickly (which I read afterwards was accidental, but masked by sound effects to make it look like they were done on purpose).

The story is also nuts - like at one point you would almost think Disney would say "We're spending a lot of money on this thing, so either the script is crazy OR it looks crazy - one or the other", so I kind of admire that it's just totally bizarre.

Saw it when it first came out, and always liked it.

Still have the Tron games for the Intellivision, too!

I liked it when it came out, bought the dvd a few months ago, thought it was ok,i couldn't get my head round the flashing exposure on parts of the film, never really noticed that bit before,it was like when the music came on it sounded like the music was slowing down abit, then speed up to normal.Still not bad though for its age.

It's ok....watchable not something I'd be wanting to watch over and over. I also had the Tron Intellivision game. That was a pretty cool video game.

When I saw it as a kid I thought it was okay, now I have a much better opinion of it. The blu ray looks great too.

I always liked TRON and I thought Legacy was great. My favorite part is when Sam walks into the arcade and turns the power back on. Hearing all those cool arcade game sounds along with the Journey music really takes me back. Good times!

I might be a minority here but I really liked it.Saw it first as a kid and then a couple years ago my daughter gave the dvd for X-mas and man it still holds up very well.

I've always been a big fan of that movie. At that time, there was nothing like it, and it was exploring new technology with it's effects. I think the idea was very original and I was very pleased that Disney didn't forsaken that original story and characters when they created "Legacy". Their in the process of making a third installment, so I am tickled to see this coming about as well.

I much preferred the arcade game to the movie. I was lethal in the light cycles and Rain Man with the discs.
