Anybody ever see The Protectors ?

I've never seen Gerry Anderson's The Protectors and wanted to know if anyone would recommend it.

I was reading about it and got some really conflicting reviews

I enjoyed it and thought it was good. Do you know it's not a Science Fiction series?

Yes, it a secret agent show, right ?

I only put this thread in this forum because it seems like a more appropriate place instead of general buzz

I always get it mixed up with the Persuaders.

I have seen Protectors but I have almost no memory of it other than Robery Vaughan is in it.

There's a clip on youtube and it looks like Tony from Space1999 is in it too

I watched it first time round ( god i feel old all of a sudden ).

This means it must have been early to mid 70's.

It was part of a type of programme, ie: UNCLE, Avengers, Champions, etc.

If you like these sort of shows then you will like this.

It had a fantastic theme song aswell which was a big hit over here.

He is, I'm pretty sure some channel started playing this when I was in college and I kept it on while doing other things and retained nothing. I also had a thing for malt liquor in those days...

Tony Anholt from Space:1999 is in the program. I like the show and it's definetly a product of it's time. A couple of times the Robert Vaughn character has to make a phone call to book time on a computer. If you're a fan of ITC shows, and British shows from the '70s, you'll see a lot of familiar faces.
