Didn't it seem like the Doctor was making Rory clean up HIS mistake? I thought that was interesting; makes the Doctor seem less invulnerable, and kind of a jerk.

That is definitely true but I think it helps Smith's character a bit.
Ever since he first became the Doctor he was probably the most goodie-two-shoes Doctor there ever was ... especially compared to Eccleston and Tennant.
Smith sometimes needs these kinds of incidents to remind people this is the same person who killed all the Time Lords.
I liked this episode a lot, the best so far.
Interesting story, very well acted. It is important that the Doctor realizes that his curiosity can cause great damage to his companions' lives. It's a powerful idea of the older Amy suffering at the Tardis door, and the Doctor reasoning "well, she'll never have existed in the first place".
What if, in some way, she would have existed, and continued to do so, in another timeline? Sometimes, the Doctor can be hard as steel...
I would have liked a little epilogue, where Rory and Amy confront the Doctor with what has happened. If I were them, I would have asked to go home.

This is not the first time but I think it's been so long that he forgets. Peter's 5th was deeply troubled by the loss of Adric but my the time we get to Mccoy even he used his companions as pawns quite alot.

Couldn't disagree more, he plays the affable fool really well but he keeps secrets and lies more than the previous Doctors ever did. I kind of find him sinister, he especially seems to just ignore any of Rory's questions prying into his life.

The episode was emotional , but......... i found it too much like 90's and 00' s star trek shows with a nice rest button at the end. i thought more of moffat then that.
"Hang on Lady... We go for a RIDE!" - Shorty to Willie Scott.Best movie line from Indiana Jones & the Temple Of Doom
This season seems to be all about introducing different ways to kill Time Lords. Whatever the virus was contained in that facility, Melody Pond's poison lipstick, etc.
Rory is now my favourite male companion. The poor guy's been put through the ringer though... guarding his wife for thousands of years, multiple deaths, having his daughter torn away from him.
I just watched it.....to tell the truth I though it was rather a dull episode....I mean it had it moments and definately delved into the characters psyche a lot, but overall was slow moving and the end was totally rushed and cut short....my feeling was that the shot they were trying to give them the whole episode would just wipe the whole time thing, not kill anyone. i bet in future episodes Amy remembers the 36 years she was there
