    Another X-Files Movie?!

I was hugely disappointment by the first one, and like most didn't even bother with the second one.

Studios are remaking everything, even if the original idea didn't work. I think by the time X-Files got to the big screen, the craze had died down. I haven't heard of any resurgence as of late either, so this is a strange project to start up.

The first X-Files film was great and fitted in really well with the series. I have just rewatched the entire series and the film is just wondeful.

The second film did not work as well as the first but it was still great to Mulder & Scully back on the big screen.

As you have probably worked out by now i would love there to be a third film but it needs to be a great story, i would not like to see them just throw something out which is not even as good as the second one just to make a film.

The X-Files films have been pretty disappointing. They don't reveal anything new, they don't go anywhere. The first film seemed to have potential and the preview clips looked promising but it really didn't add up. Chris Carter has to re-hire his best TV writers and let them write a great story. It has to refer to good threads from TV which weren't resolved and deliver something new.

I enjoyed the second X-Files movie. It harken back to what I loved about the X-Files when it first premiered, before it was all about conspiracies... back when it was about monsters.

The first movie was a nice bridge between seasons, but nothing else.

Quite frankly, I would have preferred a Millennium movie instead of tying the loose ends crummy-like in an episode of the X-Files.

I was a HUGE X-Files fan back in the day...and was in love with Gillian Anderson...lol.

But the last two seasons of the show...it sank deeper than the Titanic.

The first movie was OK...nothing spectacular...and the second one was one of the worst movies I've ever seen...it was basically about a defrocked child molesting anti-hero priest...urgh...disgusting...what a terrible, terrible movie.

              No...I don't want a third X-Files film....I don't want to believe anymore.

As an X-Phile fanatic since the very first eppy, I will definitely see another theatrical release, even if it's (and it pains me to say this) as crappy as "I Want To Believe."

What 20th Century Fox needs to do is perhaps inject some new blood into the franchise by introducing not only some new agents to pick up Scully and Mulder's mantle, but also mining the relatively deep bench of talented writers and directors who could bring so much cool stuff to an X-Files movie....
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

Would be neat to see Mulder and Scully back around once in a while. Be even better if they bring Frank Black and Skinner along for the ride.

I'm not sure what Morgan and Wong are up to these days, but they were typically at the helm of the show at it's creative height. Carter's mythology actually contradicts much of the mythology they introduced... including Confessions of a Cigarette Smoking Man.

Alternatively, get Morgan's brother (Darin Morgan... the guy who played the shapeshifter and Flukeman) to write it. He wrote my all time favourite episodes... the cockroach one, the freak show one, and the Charles Nelson Reilly/Alec Trebek/Jesse Ventura episode.
