    Green Lantern DVD Release Date!

Just read this this morning over on Cosmic Book News and, although I know a lot of folk were unhappy with the Emerald Warrior's initial outing, I'm tickled that I'll be able to have this in my grubby little paws before Halloween!!

    From Cosmic Book News:

The Blu-Ray/DVD for the Green Lantern movie will be released October 14th in a few different formats with a boat load of extras.

There will be a DVD only version, a Blu-Ray/DVD version, and a 3D Blu-Ray/Blu-Ray/DVD version.

    Blu-ray Bonus materials:

    Extended Cut of the Film
    Theatrical Cut of the Film
UltraViolet Digital Copy (Also On DVD)
Access code for Sinestro Corp Batman Skin for Batman: Arkham City (Blu-Ray)
Maximum Movie Mode with Picture in Picture Pods
The Universe According to Green Lantern
    Ryan Reynolds Becomes Green Lantern
Justice League #1 Digital Comic (Also on DVD)
    Additional Scenes
Preview of Green Lantern: The Animated Series (Also on DVD)
    BD-Live

    DVD Version - $28.98.
    Blu-ray - $35.99: Standard Blu-Ray, regular DVD
    3D Blu-ray- $40.99: 3D, Standard Blu-ray, regulard DVD

The UltraViolet Digital copy lets viewers stream the movie to computers, tablets and smartphones, and comes with all formats.

I am guessing the extended cuts will be on the regular DVD, the article at IGN wasn't too clear. There is also no word how long the additional footage will be or what it includes.
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.

If anyone here believes in psychokinesis, please raise my hand.

So true! It never even made the second run theaters here in Louisville. Too bad. Emeraldknight and I were ready to see it for a fourth time. It deserved much better than what it got.

Same here. You can preorder it from Amazon for about half the MSRP, too.

I saw it once but I may buy it. I'll just FFwd thru the parts I don't like and enjoy all the good parts with the Lantern Corps.

The movie got exactly what it deserved, it was horrible. I still don't understand the crapfest Transformers movies making so much money.

I liked it and I'll be buying it on blu ray too. I may buy the extended cut as I'm wondering what that's about.

I honestly think the sequel will clear up that concern. When your selling the merchandise, but not the movie tickets, there's clearly a market for the character. I think the studio realizes that and will give the fans more of a space drama in the second outing.
