      That Ming/Hitler subplot was in the (unreleased on DVD) Filmation Flash Gordon movie.

        I remember that from when it aired on NBC years ago. It was pretty well done.

            Of course, Ross did the cover. Not only is it right up his alley, I remember a few years back he was trying desperately to get that Filmation pilot movie on DVD (for personal use) and wasn't having any luck. Apparently, it was a huge favorite of his.

              I thin Starlog did a piece many years ago on that film and the edits it suffered. I'll see if I can dig it out.

                I like Alex Ross and all, but why would he choose to put Flash's left hand right in Hitler's mouth? Maybe it's supposed to be symbolism, maybe there was some discomfort with showing Hitler's face, but it ends up looking really awkward.
