I'm deciding between "Ender's Game" and "Repent Harlequin Said the Tick Tock Man" by Harlan Ellison.

As of this afternoon, I've decided that my favorite is "Repent Harlequin." It won over "Ender's Game" because I can't manage to be anywhere on time, so I feel connected to the Harlequin character. (My husband is reading over my shoulder and told me this is not something to brag about ) If I ever meet Harlan Ellison, I'm going to give him a bag of jelly beans.

Watchers by Dean Koontz... I love dawgs and it's main character is a dawg. Good story too- feel bad for the nemesis.

                        "A Princess of Mars"

Read it several times ove rhte years, to myself and out loud to my kids. Romance, adventure, strangeness, loyalty, friendhsip . . . old fashioned, perhaps, but a great read.

I think it would have to be War of the Worlds
or one of the two books that i'm reading at the moment
The Day of the Triffids - John Wyndham
                          or
                          The Hobbit.

Another favorite book that I've read this year (not Sci-Fi) is
Things fall apart - Chinua Achebe
"I've just bought a house. It's got a Buck Rogers Toilet. One yank, all gone!"

I don't know if you would consider it sci-fi, I really don't read alot of it . But Jurrasic Park was awesome. MUCH better than the movie.
