I loved the movie. In one word. Brilliant! Did anyone else feel incredibly sad when the Gorilla saved and later died for Caesar?
That was clearly a homage to King Kong...and yes...it was sad.

Not being an Ape fan at all, I have to say this was the best movie I've seen in a long time. I was born in 75, and was more a product of the 80s. I remember my father and brothers watching Apes as a kid and always hatting it. I, myself never watched the movies as an adult, always a bit confused about the back story. This movie has made me an instant Ape fan. I have my movie buddy making me copies of the originals as I type this.

          Apes win again $$$$$

Nice! If done right they could easily go on & on with many more ape films. Not sure where the story will pick up though.

Great second weekend, it held it's ground better than Thor or Captain America.

I just hope 20th Century Fox is smart enough to see that this film has some legs and that a sequel (of the same quality, mind you) would be welcomed and probably make even more moolah....
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.
