New Doctor Who 1/6th figures are coming

    Home

Appears they will be high end figures. They have the license for all 11 Doctors, but I don't doubt that the Matt Smith era will get a big push because it's current.

They are saying that these will be comparable to Hot Toys and Enterbay in terms of detail and price.

My vote is Rory in his centurian outfit, Amy in her police kiss-a-gram outfit. The Doctor with a fez.

Excuse me while I clean the drool off my face...

If the sculpts are good, and if they don't go Hot Toys-let's charge them $200 a piece-crazy, this is the news I have been waiting for!

That sounds like a very promising line! I want to see some proto pics now.

I hope they do them reasonably.

As a big Dr. Who fan, this does sound like really cool stuff and I will definitely be anxious to see prototypes when they make them available. I do hope they keep the prices at a level where a typical collector can afford them, though...

Being a relative newbie to this realm, i can only imagine that that's gonna mean quite a bit it moolah per figure. Ah well----guess i should start saving now!!

These will be great no doubt but I think the 5 inch figures are already high end.

Most Hot Toys and Enterbay figures start at over $100, often well over with most of the releases these days.

It's really a shame that Character Options didn't get past the 10th Doctor. Those were apparently quite affordable a few years back by compoarison. I don't even think I really ever saw him at retail... just lots of leftover Martha Jones.

I would have been more than satisfied if Characters Options had continued their 12 inch line, but with Doctors and companions.
I wonder who made their selections? Clockwork Men? Human Dalek?
                    Come on!!!

So basically, they're saying: "no matter how much these figure may cost in production (like, just a guy in a suit, nothing special to make), we're going to ask top price and make collectors pay through the nose."

CO's twelve inch figures were awesome, I really wanted a Master.

If they had done the Master, I would have totally used it for a Life on Mars kitbash.

I'd much rather have smaller figures.

I'd really love a highly detailed 4th Doctor in 1/6 scale, even if I had to pay upwards of $200.00 for it.
