It seems as if they're totaling aiming at the 9-year-old audience...

I do find it odd that suddenly the companion is treated as the star/focus of the show. Will we get a new intro when the Doctor's had enough of her & picks a new honey to travel with?
That said, it doesn't bother me overmuch. I guess it eliminates having to shoehorn the premise into dialog every few episodes for new viewers. Kinda like the old Marvel Comics boxes that used to run at the top of the title page in the '70s, giving a brief rundown of the book's character.

I really like the latest line-up of Amy and her husband traveling (LOVE River as well... ..), but the latest stories have just gotten too weird for me.

I'm no longer watching regularly. To me, David Tennant was the BEST of the contemporary Doctors.. I pretty much left when he left.

I miss the happy-go-lucky genius who stole the TARDIS to save the universe days.

Today he's the "oncoming storm"
