Hmmm... Lets test this theory out:

THOR, he's the god of thunder, resulting in some lightning, thunder, fighting and splosions.

Pirates of the Carribean 4: On Stranger Tides, they're pirates, they sail to stranger places, no Carribean tho in this film, but resulting in some fighting and splosions..

Green Lantern, he gets a lantern that glows green, resulting in some fighting and splosions.

Cars, a film about cars and some splosions

Captain America, he is a Captain and he's an American, resulting in some fighting and splosions.

Conan The Barbarian, His name's Conan, but he doesn't have a talk show, he is a Barbarian tho, resulting in fighting and blood and gore but no splosions.

    Hey! This works pretty good.

      YES!

I will watch every one of these now! Actually, surprisingly I haven't seen any of them yet except for Conan, which I have saved on the DVR and probably watch about once a week or so.

There's really just that one 'splosion in it, right at the end, but there's plenty of face punching, so it evens out.

I'm actually watching Commando right now, though. It's about a Commando -who causes 'splosions.

There's exceptions, though, like "Enter the Dragon." The plot of that movie should be terrible and horrifying. But in reality, it has no plot - just face punching and a few 'splosions that make absolutely no sense, and is therefore awesome.

Also, another thing. I don’t really read or pay attention to reviews anymore thanks to the Internet and sites like MetaCritic: Just go there, check the cumulative reviews, see what the spread is between respected sources and readers and then decide.

There has never been a better era to ignore a reviewer and basically go, “Oh wow, all these papers say this movies stinks/rocks. Now what?”

I’d never see any of the Transformers films because I can’t stand the director, and the character designs are horrible. I will see Captain America since it really looks like a well done adaptation, the cast looks good and the production design looks great. Doesn’t hurt that the director (Joe Johnston) is a really excellent special effects guy who as a great track record even when he’s done some so-so work. He’s a pro. Michael Bay is a true hack who lucks out with explosions.

And the HOWLING COMMANDOS are in the film!

Usually I'm the one that gets asked how things are when it comes to movies. Probably because I work there and see them for free. I still haven't seen Transformers 3 yet but I'm off today so I might do a matinee. I can say that the last few days were not as busy as I expected them to be. However, I think everyone was waiting for today (being Canada Day) which is why I'm glad I'm not working.

I did pop in to the theater a few times yesterday to see some parts. I liked the scenes I saw. My cousin said it's better then #2. My friend Jake says its terrible but he also said it's better then #2.

i was going to say there is no way i would watch this - BUT IF it is the double feature at my local single screen movie and draft house with another movie i want to see I MIGHT watch it. ---nevermind. i just checked it is not coming to studio 35.

I didn't care for the first one but I saw it on the small screen and i realize the appeal of this movie is the big screen special effects. I didn't see the second. I assume people in there 30' and mybe 20's have a history with this show but I never watched it as a kid so i don't even have nostalgia to tie me to it

I've seen all three, probably enjoyed this one as mutch as the first...maybe a little more. Had a good time with my son. We both liked it. I would reccommend it to friends.

I liked this one but it was waaaay to long. I was starting to drift in and out about 3/4's of the way through. I managed to wake up in time to see the big finally. I don't think I'll see it again any time soon but I want a Shockwave figure now.

Oh...the part of Transformers 3 making big time box office money was never in question...that was a given.

this is another mass market media hyped movie so making money was never an issue like Hector mention, Michael Bays so called filmaking sucks DB, he has no eye for scripts or character development watching some of his films make want to think does he even read a script? before he starts production on a project. and his eye for the camera are so so at best and most of his money shots are done by his cinametographer not him.he's about CGI special effects and loud sound. and annoying soundtrack scores.just one kids opinion

this stat is fairly irrelevant. many bad movies with big tie-ins, budgets, and marketing do very well opening week end. the tell will be what it does NEXT week end. they have an extra day in weekend 2 and I'm guessing a 50% or more decrease even with the extra day.

                            BK's Offical Quick Review }

Being Such a Huge Fan of the 1st 2 Films ..., and Having a Son, Who to Him... These Transformer Toys are the best Toys in the World to, I set off for the Flick today.

I have Mixed feeling's about the Film.
I do Not like the Movie ..., as Much as the Other 2 ..., I do Not think.
However this Movie is much more serious than the 1st 2 Films as well ..., There's really very little Comedy in the Film, compaired to some of the sceens in the 1st 2.

If anyone thinks Fox Can not act ...., Wait till you see this New Chick in Action. She's so very hot, Yes ... but when the Words come out, it's just horrible imo. The Chemistry Between Her and Shilo is Lame-*** at Best. I didn't believe it for 1 second...

They Finally Give Prime His Weapon Trailer..., which was really cool to me, being a child From the 80's ...

Everyone's Hated Twins are not in it. ... I sorta personally liked them.

Megatron is some sorta Old Vintage Military Truck. His Look is really neat and Much more creative than the Supposively Cybertron Jet thing in the 1st 2 Films.

Sentinel Prime Shows up in this Film.
There's a Twist and Turn you don't really see with the character.
Lenord Nemoy Comes in and Lends a Voice for the character..., Much like He did in The 87 Transformers Cartoon. I thought it was great..., and didn't know that going in.

ShockWave is Really Neat ..., as Well as Having SoundWave Back, this time with LazerBeak.

But the Main Thing That Just ****ed Me Off .... And I couldn't bounce Back from ... and This is a Huge Spolier, which none of the Rest of My Review is ....

Is .. They Killed IronHide. And then Replaced Him , with 3 Undeveloped Fill in Autobot Transformers, that you Don't even care About. He was my Favorite TransFormer in the Series ..., and I just can't Mentally Bounce back from that Crap at this time..., and Had Trouble Enjoying the Rest of the Film.

Mindless Eye Cany Action ..., it was a Good Time I suppose. There will be a # 4 ..., I am certain.

South Park did a good goof on Michael Bay in one of their episodes

i went and saw it last night at the drivein, i liked it. too long yes, but so was the 2nd one. the critics don't get that these movies are not supposed to be heavy plot driven movies. they are popcorn movies plain and simple and there for some mindless fun and watchign **** get blown to hell....and as everyone knows, Bay loves to blow **** up
the new chick is way hot....did she even talk in the movie??
