If people have not bothered to see some of the biggest movies in history by now...it means that you are simply not that big of a movie fan...simple as that.

I liked Barnabas a lot, too. My mom had an onyx ring I'd put on my index finger and creep around the house with. I was a weird kid!Comment

^^Thank you!
I got the idea from the ending of the Burton film (the Lincoln Memorial scene). After the film was over I thought, "18th century Apes?...Barnabas was turned in 1795..." So that was that. Can't tell from the pic, but I carried the cane & wore the ring and the cloak is full length w/3 tiers. I tagged the character as Cornelius Collins, Parallel Simian Time. It was a fun character, he could be sophisticated one minute, evil the next, and at the drop of the hat he could go completely ape.
Nothing wrong with weird...at least I hope notLast edited by Dark Shadow; Jun 13, '11, 11:08 PM.Comment

Avatar and Star Wars 1, 2, & 3. I've caught glimpses of Natalie Portman's white clad bottom that looks rather nice, but even that can't convince me to watch it...

I blame Lucas of course...but she gets some blame too for going along with his insipid direction.
You think I'm exaggerating?
Take a look at this scene...Keira Knightley was also dragged down by Lucas...

I also have never seen Avatar. I also very much agree that nothing is lost from watching Planet of the Apes as an adult. I have seen it multiple times as a kid and as an adult. From a kid's perspective; I loved the syfy, actions sequences, etc. As an adult; I really enjoyed the ingenious plot that I didn't quite grasp as a kid. To me, it is similar to reading "Alice In Wonderland" as a kid and as an adult. Two completely different stories."The farther we go, the more the ultimate explanation recedes from us, and all we have left is faith."
