FYI: Get ready...Disney Pixar is completing a liveaction John Carter of Mars set to be released in 2012. This is Pixars first live action film. They are trying to jump onto the Avatar bandwagon.
I wave waited for this one since I read the series as a boy.Leave a comment:

Then you truly have an amazing cinematic experience awaiting you!I am now on a mission to watch the apes.
It's not too late! The magic of the original Star Wars is timeless. It could enthrall, enrapture and bewitch you now just as much as if you'd originally seen it in 1977!I know that the magic of Star Wars is gone for me now. How tragic.Last edited by Bruce Banner; Jun 15, '11, 3:20 AM.Leave a comment:

Back to the question asked in the thread title...My answer would be...A lot. Just kidding. And remember people, POTA was a hit when it was released, hence the sequels. That means MOST of the people who saw it were probably adults. I first saw it on TV and then saw Battle at the Drive-In as a wee'un.Leave a comment:

Not even stuff like like Wall-e, or Up? I like a lot of the Pixar animated stuff.Leave a comment:

As an adult, i've never been attacted to movies geared toward kids.
My generation kid's shows are different for me because of nostalgia.
But I don't get new kids movies and TV (and to be honest, I don't want to even try getting them)Leave a comment:

I didn't see Avatar and I didn't want to.
I thought it looked dumb. *ducks*

I also have never seen Avatar. I also very much agree that nothing is lost from watching Planet of the Apes as an adult. I have seen it multiple times as a kid and as an adult. From a kid's perspective; I loved the syfy, actions sequences, etc. As an adult; I really enjoyed the ingenious plot that I didn't quite grasp as a kid. To me, it is similar to reading "Alice In Wonderland" as a kid and as an adult. Two completely different stories.Leave a comment:

Portman was HORRIBLE in those prequels...just HORRIBLE...and EMBARRASSING.Avatar and Star Wars 1, 2, & 3. I've caught glimpses of Natalie Portman's white clad bottom that looks rather nice, but even that can't convince me to watch it...

I blame Lucas of course...but she gets some blame too for going along with his insipid direction.
You think I'm exaggerating?
Take a look at this scene...Keira Knightley was also dragged down by Lucas...
