Avatar is a hundred times better than the new Star Wars garbage prequels...a hundred times.

The ONLY thing of note in those awful movies is Darth Maul...that's it.

Avatar and Star Wars 1, 2, & 3. I've caught glimpses of Natalie Portman's white clad bottom that looks rather nice, but even that can't convince me to watch it...

    ^^Thank you!

I got the idea from the ending of the Burton film (the Lincoln Memorial scene). After the film was over I thought, "18th century Apes?...Barnabas was turned in 1795..." So that was that. Can't tell from the pic, but I carried the cane & wore the ring and the cloak is full length w/3 tiers. I tagged the character as Cornelius Collins, Parallel Simian Time. It was a fun character, he could be sophisticated one minute, evil the next, and at the drop of the hat he could go completely ape.

Nothing wrong with weird...at least I hope not

First off, that Cornelabus (that's what I'm calling him) is awesome! Very, very cool!

I liked Barnabas a lot, too. My mom had an onyx ring I'd put on my index finger and creep around the house with. I was a weird kid!

    I have to agree

If somebody hasn't seen a real big old movie their whole lives i'm guessing they never will because they don't care to

If people have not bothered to see some of the biggest movies in history by now...it means that you are simply not that big of a movie fan...simple as that.

Seeing talking apes with guns as a five-year-old was mind-blowing. To me at that age, no one was cooler than Cornelius and Mr. Spock.

Not sure how old you are, but I'm assuming you're an adult, so even as brilliant as those films are, they probably will not have the same effect on you as they would had you seen them when you were a kid. The nostalgic aspect of seeing the mego commercials, the TV series, and all the toys and stuff, is a huge part of the mythos for me and many others here. You should definitely see the films, but it's kinda sad that you waited this long. They just won't have the same effect. Those films, much like Star Wars, need to be discovered through a child's eyes...

You might want to stop and think cause this is how it starts.

You have to see the Movie.....
I remembered watching the movie and TV series as a child and loving it. When the movie was released on VHS, I bought them all. Shortly after, the whole Ebay thing got going. I bought a single Dr Zaius mego. Then I bought all the rest, playsets, pieces, Curtis magazines( all of them), both card sets, comic books, lobby cards, movie posters, stamps, original metal/wood printers block for theatre flyers, power records, autographed photo's, Hasbro figures, inkwerks cards, novels of movies, and TV series(even # 4) and animated series complete. bootleg TV series on VHS..........
Then they released the DVD's, bought them all, Tv series on DVD...got it....animated series, yup....
Oh Yeah, then the new movie came out and i overpaid for all the new stuff too. Did i mention making costumes and going ape to every party from then on.

Now the Blu-ray, I'm trying to hold out but I think I'm gonna break.
And another new movie about to be released!!!!!!

On second thought, DO NOT SEE THIS MOVIE!!!!!!!

Does this situation sound familiar to anyone else, or am i all alone out here?

    Go APE!
