When they were told to find the old control room, I was really hoping it would be one of the TARDIS control rooms from the 70s!
Oh well, still a cool episode.
The Doctor Who Confidential episode that followed it was also a good one.
That episode for me was the best one I've seen in the entire history of the series. What a beautifully worked out idea! I loved the exchanges between the Doctor and the Tardis, which threw up some very interesting premises. Very heartfelt in places too.
This was the episode I was really looking forward to and it delivered on so many levels. I hope Neil Gaiman comes back to write more in the future. One episode a season at least, maybe even become a show runner one day (well, a fan can dream).
I really liked this one.
Pretty confusing at the start, and my first thoughts were "who's that irritating Bonham-Carter clone???".
But as the idea unfolded, it made sense. Finally some more info on the Tardis and its sentient state. When they went inside the Tardis, I said "Yes!Finally", though I had hoped they would have shown more, the rooms, etc. Nice touch with sounding the cloister bell.
Very interesting storyline, and it just makes me want to see more.
Smith is growing on me, too, and toning it down a bit, which I like.

Yeah I share that view, easily my favourite of the part five years. Lots of great fan tidbits wrapped in a really good tale.

Yeah I was really hoping for Tom Baker's old wooden control room myself but I guess budgetary reasons made it easier to use the last one. Still, we got a rondeled wall on the Doctor's makeshift Tardis.

It's not even in my top 100 episodes, but it was the first even decent episode this season. That's a start. I was starting to really get worried.
Perhaps all hope is not lost. I didn't care for the first 10 minutes or so, but it came around fairly good towards the end.
I suspect a lot of the hype for this episode would have been signifigantly less though, if you'd had Bill Jones credited for the writing and not Neil Gaiman. I kind of feel like a lot of people just absolutely "loved" it, because he wrote it.
Not saying anyone here is that way, but a lot of the reaction online to me is sort of a bit over the top.
