Alien Nation (new series)????

I remember i think it was in 2009 but there was a rumor thay syfy channel was doing a remake of the alien nation series. but i never heard any more on it. and i cant find anything new about it? anyone know *** happened to it? are they still workin on it? or did it get the ol' AX? I loved the original series i never missed it. i learned how to program my vcr because i couldnt miss that show! would love a reboot of it. as long as matt and george are in it someplace. keneth johnson rebooted V i figured it would be the next logical step to do AN again?

I emailed SyFy about this months ago and never received any type of reply... I'm hoping they still do it, but I have a feeling it's on the backburner (if they're still planning it at all)...
