Anyone else annoyed with the 2011 Doctor Who intro ?

I looked for a clip of it on youtube but could not find it.

I'm sure you know what I mean --- the voice-over spoke by Amy before the titles.

    I really hate that.

It seems to make the show teen-girlish

When I seen it on the first episode I thought it was only going to be used once because it's the start of the season.

Last week I found I was wrong.

anyone else annoyed with them adding that intro ?

      Not bothered at all.

You'd be surprised by the size of the female audience this show has now. In Canada anyways. Just about every woman I know has gotten into Dr Who over the past 5 years or so. My girlfriend wants to marry David Tenant...though I want to marry Amy Pond so I guess we're even. lol.

I don't like it. It yet again gives more focus on Amy than the star of the show.

              I never even noticed it.
I always tape the episode, so I must have forwarded beyond the intro.

To be honest, at times it feels like the Amy show, co-starring her whacky sidekick, the Mad Doctor.

It's trying to bring in a new audience, it doesn't bug me one bit.

Is that just a US thing?
                    I can't say that i've noticed it.

I don't think it's a US thing because Wolfie (from the UK) acted as if he's seen it with his comment - "In a word, No" answering my question, "anyone else annoyed with them adding that intro"

They don't have it on before the titles here, it must be an American thing only.

Below is the pre title sequence...
It is spoken by Amy and features quick clips from series-5
This sequence appears after the teaser and right before the titles.
It started this year and has appeared on every episode of series-6 to date.

When I was a little girl I had an imaginary friend

When I grew up he came back

                            He's called The Doctor

                            He comes from somewhere else

He's got a box called the TARDIS that's bigger on the inside and can travel anywhere in time and space

I ran away with him, and we've been running ever since.

                            INTRO BEGINS
