Anybody Else Watching Star Blazers On ScyFy?

I haven't seen this show since my sister and I used to argue over whose soap opera we would watch- my Star Blazers or her General Hospital. Syfy is showing this early saturday morning (2am)and I can watch it now with out any arguments

I forgot how slow this is by today's frantic standards. Even so, I'm enjoying the animation and the sometimes humorous voice-over work (I love Venture's Long Island accent).

It's one of those shows that I will probably not go back to see because it's probably much more awesome as a memory.

The theme song still rocks though.

Still haven't caught the live action movie...

I have some of the DVD's so recording it at 2am is not worth it to me. I still love to watch it. It was as good to me as any American, ensemble, night-time drama, like Hill Street Blues.

One of my all time favourite cartoons.

But the UK SyFy channel isn't running it.

Thanks for the heads up. Added it to my DVR schedule. Haven't seen it since I was in kindergarten or so... but it made a big impression on me when I was young.

I've seem most of the shows from its countless series and movies.

I'd love to check them out again.

So when it comes on again?

I always watched this, Locally they took off Battle of the Planets and replaced it with Star Blazers. I guess this show primed me for robotech!

I live in NY and remember that. I even thought the same people made both shows when I was a kid.
